Bio
A graduate of UT Health School of Dentistry in Houston, Douglas A. Terry is the founder and CEO of design Technique International and the Institute of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, where for over thirty years he has maintained a practice devoted to restorative and esthetic dentistry, focusing on cosmetic and complex rehabilitation cases.
Adjunct Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Assistant Professor at UT Health School of Dentistry in Houston and Professor Emeritus at V.S. Dental College & Hospital (Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore), he is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and an honorary member of the Indian Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the American and International Colleges of Dentists and of the International Academy of Dental Facial Aesthetics, and a member and U.S. vice-president of International Oral Design.
Author of more than 230 scientific articles and an editorial board member of numerous peer-reviewed journals, he has written landmark textbooks on additive aesthetics and injectable composites — from Natural Aesthetics with Composite Resin to Restoring with Flowables, and the three editions of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry: Material Selection and Technique. He opens The Injection Show 2027 with the inaugural lecture on the founding vision of injective and additive techniques.
